Coffee Break

A while ago I was in Chicago for work and play. The buildings and people have inspired many paintings. As you can see, this piece is rather tight. I go back and forth on which works best for me. Or maybe I just like both loose and tight.

I like the tension caused by the short people and tall buildings, and the single old man standing apart from the crowd to the right. And you really get a feeling of the darkness of the streets caused by the tall buildings in NYC. Nice painting, lots of energy, Donna!
