The waves in Pacifica, California were very aggressive when I was there a couple of months ago. The surfers and fog were out in full force. This my first visit with this image. I decided to do a study in watercolor. Watercolor painting forces me to think in values before I even put paint to paper.
The attorney that offices next door to me recently took a trip to New York. I gave her two disposable cameras to use up for me. This is a study for a larger version. Kind of an exploratory piece. It interesting to see what she photographed and her perspective.
A number of my coworkers like to frequent a local eatery called Vivos for lunch. Each female customer is given a beautiful rose. This on came from the attorney that offices next door. I still want to work some more on it. I will post when finished.
I visited Pacifica, California recently. They have this nice marina with all kinds of food. I had a nice bowl of fish stew and crab cakes. Afterwards we walked along the marina. Fishermen were selling the days catch and going out for more fishing.
A few women that work with me always get nice flowers from their husbands, supervisors and/or partners. I always have a camera at hand to snag a shot for a future painting. This was an acrylic painting that I completed alla prima.
