Wave study on copper

I have been wanting to paint on copper for a long time. This was my first attempt and I also used oils which I rarely use these days. I burnished the surface a bit with sandpaper before painting. This is a shot that I took on the seawall in Pacifica, California. I like going to Pacifica because it usually involve lunch at the Princeton Seafood Company in El Granada, California. The best seafood.

Thanks Camille a true compliment coming from you. Thank you Pamela even though you have an obvious bias.

This is great. How big? Must be small or you used huge brushes, I like the brush strokes.

Thanks Jo. This one is a 6 by 6 incher. I used brushes that I normally use for my watercolors.
